He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Wise and Dora Wise-Jenkins of Waterbury, CT.; his brother Michael Jenkins; and his aunt Ruby Christine Carrington. He is survived by: his daughters, Yan'ketia, Jennifer and Jasmine; his stepdaughter Tenikka Hampton-Yeldell (John); his sons, James G. Wise III and Gregory Wise (Jessica); his siblings, Dorothy McCauley (Dave), Carolyn Jenkins, Francine Wise, Barbara Wise and Wesley Jenkins (Leslie); his uncle Charles Jefferson; his grandchildren, Jamila, Semaj, Yaritza, Harlem, Alex, I, Kaprie, Jaden and Adrien; his great grandchild Pry'nce; his sister-in-law Rita Jenkins (Virginia Hampton Wise); and the mothers of children, Virginia Hampton Wise and Rita Jenkins. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and an extended group of friends.
