“I was so happy to get to know Helen when she moved to Hartford, and to have her as a colleague and friend nearby. We would meet for lunch, and I always enjoyed being with her. As it happens, we were in contact less during the last few years, but she was still nearby. I am sorry that her family and friends have lost her so soon. She was devoted to ethnomusicology and to her family. May her sprit soar in the eternal light and in peace!! Helen, you always looked good in a hat!!!”
