He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Burns and Mildred Burns (Delahanty); and his brother Lawrence "Phatz" Burns. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burns (Dayton); his friend Joe O'Brien; his children, Ronald Burns (Lynda) of Bristol, Thomas Burns (Diana) of Westbrook and Geri Ann Bradley (Rick) of Punta Gorda, FL.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Burns, Riki Strait (Bradley), Shaun Bradley, Juli Marozzi (Bradley), Callie Burns and Casey Burns; his great grandchildren, Isla, Shea Strait and Oliver Marozzi; and his siblings, Patty Terry of Kileen, TX and Charlie Burns of Clearwater, FL..
