He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Shaia and Albertina Shaia (Kindelburgh); and his son Salathiel Shaia. He is survived by: his wife Donna Shaia (Manchester); his daughters, Michelle Ryan (Richard) of Plantsville and Cheryl Brunet (Tim) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Richard Ryan of Plainville, Ashley Ryan of Meriden, Alyssa Ryan of Bristol, Jesse Brunet of Burlington and Benjamin Brunet of Burlington; his great grandchild Leif Ryan; his brother Louis Shaia (Linda) of Torrington; and his brothers-in-law, Guy Manchester of Bristol, Mark Manchester (Donna) of Bristol and David Manchester (Darlene) of Bristol. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funk Funeral Home (35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peacedale Cemetery.
