He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas J. Faniola and Fay Faniola (Broderick); and his brother Nicholas J. Faniola. He is survived by: his significant other Susan M. Hilinski; his son Nicholas R. Faniola of Hawaii; his grandson Nicholas F. "Niko" Faniola of Bristol; his brother John "Jack" Faniola (Judy) of Old Lyme; his nephew Jay N. Faniola of Old Lyme; and his aunt Irene Vanderbilt of Windsor Locks.
