We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2023, at the age of 82, Frances J. Marek of Bristol, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Jordan and Cora Jordan (Bouvier); her husband Frank; and her sister Elaine. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen of Hartford, Kenneth (Lynn) and Jacqueline; her son-in-law Stanley Murak of Cromwell; her son Michael (Rebecca); her granddaughters, Hannah and Hayley Bissonnette; and her sisters, Linda Ringstad and Judy Allaire (Arthur). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Donations in honor of Fran's life may be made to either: Bristol Hospital Homecare Hospice Program, St. Gregory the Great Church in Bristol or the CT Humane Society.

“My favorite memories of Aunt Fran were from those summers long ago at Old Lyme shores. Fran used to bring big bags of candy down to the hot beach and share it with all us kids. And the best part was we could have as much as we wanted! We now know that it was all her leftover, old, partially wrapped, sticky candy from all the holidays. Nevertheless, it was the most delicious treat even with all the sand stuck in it!”
