He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Bayer, Ernest Bayer, Jr., Kevin Bayer and Wendy Bayer Dillon; his grandchildren, Emily Mae Bayer, Alexia Bayer, Nicholas Bayer, Patrick Dillon and Rebecca Dillon; his wife Patricia D. Bayer; and his siblings, Sharon Butler (Bayer) and Paul Bayer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
