She is survived by: her husband Peter Engels; her son Cmdr; her siblings, Daniel O'Brien (Carol) of Florida, Dr. Eloise O'Brien of Buffalo, NY and Jocelyn Pirro (John) of Litchfield; and her nephew Richard Nightingale. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
