She was predeceased by: her husband Frank H. Sturgeon; her parents, Carl Johnson and Mary Johnson (Harrigan); and her son-in-law Ron Piwonski. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Piwonski of Bristol and Ellen Sturgeon (David Tedesco) of Bristol; and her grandsons, Josh Piwonski of Bristol and Ryan Piwonski of Bristol.
