It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Vanden Heuvel (Bristol, Connecticut), born in Astoria, New York, who passed away on May 7, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse John; her parent Cornelius Curtin; her children, James Heuvel, Robert Vanden Heuvel and Joan E. Keough; her siblings, Cornelius Curtin and Anna Raible; and her great grandchild Alexander Fournier.
She is survived by: her parent Elizabeth Curtin (Morgan); her children, John Vanden Heuvel (Diane), David Vanden Heuvel (Wanda), Mary Michalczyk of Bristol, Catherine Vanden Heuvel of Bristol and Sophia Bailey (Robert) of Bristol; her siblings, David Curtin (Alice), Marie Egan of Stanhope, NJ, Elizabeth Orzo (Pasquale) of Spotswood, NJ and Winifred Charles of Sparta, NJ; her grandchildren, John Vanden Heuvel, Ray Fournier, Eric Lockshire, Amy Orsini, Samantha Bailey, Cassandra Heuvel, Ashley Vanden Heuvel, Catherine Keough, Elizabeth Beaulieu, John Landry, Shawn Meehan and Jessica Farina; her great grandchildren, Brian Harris, John, Dylan, Savannah Vanden Heuvel, Cody Gagnon, Luca Orsini, Aria Orsini, Daisy, Heather, Charlie, Cole Lockshire, Emma Bailey, Ally Bailey, Cassidy Fournier, Cameron Fournier, Brooklyn Eldred, Gregory Levesque, Connor Cordiero and Marlee Maio; and also, Uncle Sam and Vanden Heuvel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
