He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia Follandri Rydel; and his siblings, Blanche Hartz, Henry Rydel and Modesta Pacyna. He is survived by: his sons, Peter Rydel (Jessica Rydel) of Glastonbury, CT and Joel Rydel of Virginia; his grandchildren, Connor, Caitlin, Alexander, Sidney, Charlotte, Liam, Ella-Grace and Boston; his sisters-in-law, Arlene Caron of Bristol and Maryann Rydel of Plainville; his nieces, Kathleen Caron-Vaughan, Shirley Piletz, Christine Levesque and Shaileen Rounds; and his nephew Paul Hartz.
