She was predeceased by: her parent George Nichols; and her spouse Carlton E. Rumery. She is survived by: her parent Hildred Nichols (Philbrook); her children, George Rumery (Marti) of Bristol, Dale Rumery (Michele) of Plantsville, Scott Rumery (Bronwyn) and Patty St; her siblings, Richard Nichols (Susan), Shirley Brown and Jacqueline Brown (Jimmy); her friends, Robert Moore and Barbara Moore; her son Leo Gene Rumery; and her brother-in-law Wayne Brown. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
