He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Norman Matthews Sr. and Genevieve Ann Matthews (Wells); and his sisters, Gen, Sue, Laura, Cindy and Mary Lee.
He is survived by: his significant other Chantal Laprise of Bristol; his daughters, Krystle Laprise (Christopher Vancour) of Plainville and Denise Goff (John) of Terryville; his grandchildren, Christopher Goff, Dylan Goff and Ellie Rose Vancour; his nephew Jeff Matthews; and his siblings, Robert, Charlie, Paul, John, Mike, Billy, Norman, Eddie, Don, June and Joan.
