She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Checovetes; and her mother Concetta. She is survived by: her friend Jackie Sekorski; her niece Tina Wetmore; her daughters, Gail York of Bristol and Beth Hill (Michael) of Plainville; her grandchildren, Christie Welch (Jeffrey) of Farmington, Rachelle Hill (Tiana Cardone) of New Haven and Nicholas Hill of Vernon; her great grandchild Jeremy Welch; her siblings, Philip "Sonny" Patrone (Marsha) of Trumbull and Victoria Ziotas (Angelo "Zi") of Forestville; her daughter Maria; and her siblings, Mary Iuppa, Michael Bettua, Anthony Bettua, Albert Bettua, Rose Szandarowsky, Nancy Culver, Michael Patrone and Josephine Penta. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and her forever friends.
