He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick J. Gaffney and Mary Gaffney (Devenney); and his brother Deirmuid Gaffney. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Gaffney (Berwind); and his children, Kevin (Patricia), Brian (Susan), Sheila, Timothy and Kathleen Gaffney. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
