It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta Johnson of Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. William T. Mathews and Clara E. Mathews; her former husband Henry T. Poindexter, II; her husband Tracy Johnson, Sr.; her son Gregory T. Poindexter; and her brothers, Joseph W. Mathews, Harry Mathews and Leon Mathews.
She is survived by: her daughters, Renee McCord (James) of Milford, CT, Shari L. Poindexter of North Hills, CA, Maritza Poindexter-Brown (Travis) of Bridgeport, CT and Crystal T. Johnson of Newport News, VA; and her stepchildren, William T. Harvey, Jr., Tracy Johnson, Jr., Timothy Johnson, Shonie Griffin, Tyree Griffin, Wendy Harvey and Tracene Lee. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
