He was predeceased by: his father Juan Ortega of San Juan; and his brother Jesus Rivera. He is survived by: his mother Carmen Maria Rivera of San Juan; his children, Richard Ortega, Jr. and Stephanie Ortega; and his grandchildren, Aaliyah Lopez, Amirah Ortega, Arielle Ortega, Rashad Killings, Richard Ortega III and Rico Ortega. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
