She is survived by: her son Brandon Joyner of Bridgeport, CT; her grandchildren, Jermeka Joyner of West Haven, CT, Tiffany Hamilton of Shelton, CT., Ezell, Eli, Myasia, Monae, Jhy'rie and Ja'mill; her sisters, Tanya Patrice Joyner of Washington, D. C., Martha Melvin of Bridgeport, CT and Kim Dawson Gibbs of Stratford, CT; and her close friend Shamone Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Baker-Isaac Funeral Services (985 Stratford Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06607). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
For her role in that effort, she received a special honor recognizing her contribution to Connecticut's history.
