He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond James Patterson and Roberta Garner-Patterson; his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Patterson-McAdams and Lonnie Patterson; his former wife Carrie Ferris-Patterson; and his cousin Ted Garner.
He is survived by: his sister Olivia Patterson-McAdams; his cousins, Casey and Octive "Vee" Garner; his former wives, Secuma Patterson-Romano and Ruth Cogsdell-Patterson; his children, Casey, Trina, Jamal and PJ Patterson; and his stepsons, JT and Alger Wilkins. He is also survived by several grandchildren and cousins.
