She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Furman and Margaret Furman; her husband Clinton Slocum; her siblings, Beryl, Barbara, William, Theodore, Walter and Ralph; and her grandson Jermaine Paul.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Paul (late John), Janice Slocum, Susan Christy (late George), Pamela Jones (Lyle), Cathy Jackson (Frankie) and Linda Slocum-Walker; her grandchildren, Lyle Jr., Lavar, Bobby, Lonnie, LaShonda, Aubrey, George, Candace, Leneil, Andre, Alfred, Anton, Harold, Aaron, Erica and Ariel; her brother Frank Furman (Judy); her son-in-law Livingston Walker; and her friend Juanita Tubman. She is also survived by 44 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of Praise (45 Gregory St, Bridgeport, CT 06604). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
