It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Harris Gillis (Branford, Connecticut), born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank; and her children, Thomas "Doc" Gillis and Margie G. Bussmann. She is survived by: her parents, Caroline N. Harris and Thomas L. Harris; her sons, Frank L. "Chip" Gillis (Margie) of Westport, CT and James H. "Rocky" Gillis of Westbrook, CT; her children-in-law, Thomas N. "Tracey" Gillis and Kenneth Bussmann; her grandchildren, Kristen Gillis Eilert, Caroline Gillis Ahlberg, Patrick F. Gillis, Kyle Bussmann, Thomas N. Gillis Jr., Cordette C. Gillis and Charles E. Gillis; and her great grandchildren, Reese Ava Eilert and Taite Ruth Eilert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Branford Food Pantry or The Connecticut Hospice.
