It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rocco Candela of Branford, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Anne "Baby Anne" Diana Candela; his parents, Rocco Candela and Anna Gambardella Candela; his siblings, Theresa Casillo, Rita Rascati, William, Edward and Joseph Candela; and his great grandchild Rocco Anthony Tondalo.
He is survived by: his children, Anna Tondalo (Michael), Louise Candela, Rocco Candela (Jeanne), Pasquale Candela (Darlene) and Anthony Candela; his sisters, Angelina Esposito and Loretta Piasecki; his grandchildren, Annie Candela, Jeannine Orosco (Steve), Michael Tondalo (Johanna), Rocco Tondalo (Heather), Theresa Valentino (Antonio), Rocco Candela and Pasquale Candela; and his great grandchildren, Jaxson Orosco, Catalina Giannotti, Olivia Tondalo, Juliana Tondalo and Giovanni Valentino.
