With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lena (Lee) Giangarra (Branford, Connecticut), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lena left this world on January 11, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francesco Urso (Frank) and Maria Grimando; her husband Leo A. Giangarra; and her sisters, Rose Greenier, Theresa Acampora, Alyce Sacco and Mildred Healy.
She is survived by: her children, Annamarie Mercurio (Mark) of Branford, Michael Giangarra (Cathy) of Louisville, KY and Mark Giangarra (Ann) of North Haven; and her grandchildren, Lisa (Mark), Julie, Robert Mercurio (Sarah), Jennifer, Anthony Giangarra and Megan Marsden (Andrew). She is also survived by her husband, children, friends and family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the W.'s. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home (244 N Main St, Branford, CT 06405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Holy Infant Church (450 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT 06477).
