She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Bernardo; her great grandchildren, Declan and Tristan Colianna; her son-in-law Phil Armitage; and her siblings, Ann Carpenter, Florence Thompson and Charles Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Patricia), Bruce, Barbara Colianna (Gary) and Deborah Armitage; and her brother Ernest Thompson (Debbie). She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
