Ernest M. Votto Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest M. Votto (Branford, Connecticut), who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelina Votto and Vitangelo Votto; his wife Frances Adeline Grammatico of New Haven; and his siblings, Pat, Albert, Eleanor Raccio and Evelyn DeCapua.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest Votto (Mary) of Portland, OR and Vivian Holmes (Gene) of Boston, MA; his grandson Peter Eli Holmes (Jennifer) of Boston, MA; his children, Jane Rose Hunt (Casey) of Pound Ridge, NY and Eric Avery Votto of Portland, OR; and his great grandchildren, Elena Frances Hunt and Thomas Votto Hunt of Pound Ridge, NY.. He is also survived by nephews, dear friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W.'s. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home (244 N Main St, Branford, CT 06405). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Beaverdale Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ernie's honor may be sent to Habitat for Humanity.
