He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Gambardella Onofrio; his daughter Carol Ann Onofrio; his brothers, Pasquale, James and Anthony Onofrio; and his close friend Frances Russo.
He is survived by: his son Dominick R. Onofrio Jr. (Maureen) of East Haven; his grandsons, Michael Onofrio (Dana) and Joseph Onofrio (Amanda); and his sister Phyllis Rosa of East Haven.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Pompeii Church (355 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513).
