He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena James (Miller) and Phillip Heath; and his son George Heath. He is survived by: his grandson Jhalon Zephaniah Heath; his wife Catherine Heath (Copes); his children, Nicole Heath, Neil Percy (Alison), John Lawrence Percy, Karen Copes, Leonard McIntee (Laurie), Victoria Copes, Jeffrey Heath, Gary Heath, Gregory Heath and Tayo Omari; his grandchildren, Shanell, Alanah, Travis, John, Jearad, Takisha, Farron, Julia, Erica and Ebony; and his siblings, Ruby, Verdilyn, Essie, Unis and Merrick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the name of Zepheniah Heath to the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at UCONN.
