He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Lillian Rotherforth (Freeman); his brother William Rotherforth; and his mother-in-law Sylvia. He is survived by: his nephew Scott Rotherforth of Glastonbury; his nieces, Cynthia Aponte of Glastonbury and Robin Rotherforth of Rocky Hill; his great-nephew Thomas Shew (Elizabeth) of Colchester; and his friend Adrien Beatty.
