She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas F. McDermott; her parents, James Sponzo and Adeline Sponzo; her brothers, Joseph Sponzo and John Sponzo; her nephew John Waterhouse; and her pet Ollie.
She is survived by: her children, Tom McDermott of Vernon, Laura (Scott Snyder) of Parkland, FL and Linda (Doug Scheirey) of South Windsor; her grandchildren, Zachary Snyder, Haley Byrnes, Samantha Snyder, Satori McDermott and Jack Byrnes; her sisters, Rosemarie Waterhouse (Jeff) of Vernon and Joanne Bouchard (John) of Vernon; and her pet Jerry. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
