He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Newell; his parents, Albert Newell and Edna Newell (Kidder); and his brother Arthur Newell. He is survived by: his daughter Jan Newell Spears; his granddaughter Jasmine; his son Randy Newell (Karen); his grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Christopher; his great grandchild Wendy Newell Hunt (Patrick); his sister Dorothy Malloy (John); his sister-in-law Gail Lyon; and also, Lila and Patrick. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
