He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine (Shea) and Philip M. Carpenter Sr.; his siblings, Mary Carol and Richard Carpenter; and his brother-in-law Ralph Lang.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Carpenter (Doyle); his daughters, Elizabeth Brantley (Michael) and Maria Bertran (Alex); his grandchildren, Lily, Kate Brantley and Alejandro Bertran; his sister Marion Lang; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane Carpenter, John Doyle and James Doyle (Terri). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
