She was predeceased by: her husband Charles L. Brisson; her parents, James Joyce and Johanna Joyce (Knox); her son-in-law Joseph Nicholas Poinatale; and her brothers, James Joyce Jr., John Joyce, Leo Joyce and Robert Joyce.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Staves of Tolland, Denise Poinatale (John Kulowski) of Vernon, Mary Lou Zmijeski (Stephen) of Cromwell, Robert Brisson (Joyce) of Ellington, Charles Brisson (Kathleen McMahon) of Coventry and Elizabeth Gagne (Raymond) of Broad Brook; her grandchildren, Rich, Brian, Keri Ann, Erica, Bobby, Julie, Dan, Jessica, Shannon, Dylan and Anthony; her great grandchildren, Alec, Trent, Skyler, Victoria, Lucas, Patrick and Jolene; her sister Anne Lavoie of South Windsor; her sisters-in-law, Diane Middleton (Joseph) of Torrington and Phyllis Joyce of Bloomfield; and her adoptive daughter Marilyn Solomon of South Windsor.
