He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Ward-Mathis and George Mathis; and his sisters, Ora Knighton of Windsor, CT, Barbara Jones (Willie) of Bloomfield, CT and Yvonne Kirkland.
He is survived by: his children, Natasha Emmons (Deonte) of Chicago and Lucius Mathis Jr. of Hartford, CT.; his brothers, Mercer Mathis (Lois) of Hartford, CT and Lloyd Mathis (Patricia) of East Hartford, CT.; and his friend Albany Ave. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
