It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph W. Fandel of Bloomfield, Connecticut, who passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph W. Fandel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary L. Fandel (Walsh); his father William J. Fandel; and his siblings, Edwina Dowd, William J. Fandel, Jr. and John Fandel.
He is survived by: his children, William J. Fandel (Marianne) of Rockport, MA, Mary Reid (Richard) of Windsor and Suzanne Fandel (John Cutrone) of Norwalk; his grandsons, Todd Bergstrom (Chantal Lallier), Michael Strout, Freddy Strout (Marin), Daniel Reid and Christopher Reid; his great grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Abby, Cal, Claudia (David), Mason, Charlie, Sofia and Luca; his great great grandchildren, Roman and DJ; and his siblings, Louise Weeder, Ann Brennan, Henry Fandel and Arthur Fandel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers and in acknowledgment of the many years of loving care Joe received as a part of the Seabury Community, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Seabury Staff Appreciation Fund, Box # 3108, 400 Seabury Drive, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
