She was predeceased by: her husband John H. "Jack" Ellen; her parents, John Philip "Phil" and Evelyn Bauer (Noon); and her son Thomas "Tom" Ellen. She is survived by: her daughter Maureen; her son-in-law Jonathan "Jon" Colman of Bloomfield; her granddaughter Gillian Colman of San Jose, CA; her daughter-in-law Maureen Ellen (Gillespie) of Bristol; her sister-in-law Joan Ellen of Williamsburg, VA; and her nephews, Peter Ellen of The Villages, FL and Ken Ellen of Lakewood, OH. She is also survived by her grandparents, parents, husband, and son.
Irene also served as one of the "Senior Greeters" at Bloomfield Town Hall for over 10 years up until the coronavirus pandemic began.
