He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Garvey and Rupert Garvey; and his brothers, Coswell Garvey and Dervon Garvey. He is survived by: his wife Joy Garvey; his children, Katasha Jones, Kaheta Garvey Carlquist, Nadir Garvey, Ian Garvey, Shawn Garvey and Priscilla Baccas; and his siblings, George Garvey (Steve) of Bloomfield, Rupert Garvey, Jr. (Rupee) of Bloomfield, Michael Garvey of Bloomfield, Karel Garvey of Bloomfield, Troy Garvey of Middletown, Owen Garvey of East Hartford and Patrick Garvey of Jamaica. He is also survived by three son-in-laws; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
