He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Engelhardt and Dorothy Engelhardt (Hungerford); and his brothers, Charles and Richard Engelhardt. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hardin Engelhardt; his children, Jeffers Engelhardt (Triin Vallaste) of Pelham, MA and Hardin Engelhardt (Ron Wilder) of Cary, NC.; and his grandchildren, Lacy, Amelia Wilder, Miira and Elli Engelhardt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to MFSA or Cheshire United Methodist Church's Mission Fund.
