He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Matthews; his daughter Candace; his son-in-law Val Donaldson; his sons, Chauncey, Lance and Cameron; his grandchildren, Danyelle, Darien, Dajza, Taron, Mercedez, Nova, Jeremiah and Ayverie; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Destin and Londyn; his sisters, Mary, Doris and Sandra; and his friends, Larry Williams and Mike Mitchell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
However, homesickness led him back to Hartford, where he transitioned into the workforce while always being remembered for his contributions to Hartford's basketball community.
