She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Jerry and Viola Nelson; and her sister Frances Nelson. She is survived by: her significant other George Williams; her daughter Sheila Nelson (Benjamin) of Montgomery Village, MD; her siblings, Louise Nelson Bessellieu of Georgetown, SC and Jerome Nelson (Emma) of Chapin, SC; and her friends, Lillian Pinckney, Audrey Smith and Bertha Rhoad. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.
