She was predeceased by: her parents, Lottie D. Proffitt, (Stovall) and Joel E. Proffitt, Jr.; and her sons, Todd and Walter Proffitt. She is survived by: her daughters, Toni Wimberly (Gregory), Nadine Turner and Vonetta Proffitt; her daughter-in-law Tammy Proffitt; her grandchildren, Tyesha Peak (Courtney), Andre Proffitt (Brianna), Isaiah Proffitt, Juwan and Brionna Givens; her great grandchildren, Amir Byrd and Xa'Vion Lane; and her siblings, Marcia P. Harvey, Lynette Collins, Marlene Jacobs (Grady), Allison Pocknett and Joel E. Proffitt, III. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Later in life she recommitted her life to Christ at Full Gospel Foundation Building Ministries International, Worship Center of Bloomfield, Connecticut.
