He is survived by: his children, Attorney Livia DeFilippis Barndollar of Milford, Attorney Anthony DeFilippis (Sarah) of West Hartford, David DeFilippis (Jeannie) of Richboro Pennsylvania and Lucia Dressel (John) of Middlebury. He is also survived by married to the love of his life, Mae Agostino DeFilippis, for nearly sixty years; they have four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
