With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William D. Smith of Bethel, Connecticut, who passed away on November 16, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to William's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration William has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Smith and Nathaniel Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith (Harrison); his children, Gladys Smith and Sean Smith (Jimetta); his grandson Brandon Smith; and his siblings, Daisy Everett, Geraldine Worthington, Barbara Ann Smith Pearson, Betsy Smith and Louis Jr. Person.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church (69 Rowan St, Danbury, CT 06810). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church (69 Rowan St, Danbury, CT 06810).
