He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Sr. Mead and Dorothy Mead (Tucker); and his brother Terry Mead. He is survived by: his daughter Brooke (Isael Pimentel) of Kingston, NY; his grandchildren, Ezra, Celine and Silas; and his brother Edward (Ursula Mead) of Danbury. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
