He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Strong and Florence Strong (Millican); his grandparents, Clifford, Mary Strong, James and Mary Millican; his sisters, Audrey Williams and Ethel Strong; his stepchildren, David Onofrio and Susan Fisher; and his close friends, Bruce Dopkins, John Ford, George Rumbolt and Joseph Gordon.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Strong (Forte); his stepdaughter Dorothy Onofrio; his siblings, Adele Geisel and James Strong; and his stepsisters, Bernice Corliss and Vivian Louerson.
