She was predeceased by: her husband James M. Richardson; and her parents, Floyd Candie and Mildred Joyner Candie. She is survived by: her sons, Stephen M. Richardson of Bethany and Robert A. Richardson of West Hartford; her sisters, Nancy Candie and Elvira Hawkes; her niece Sharon Hawkes Brown (David); and her great-nieces, Lauren and Candance Brown.
