It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Johnson (Bethany, Connecticut), born in Derby, Connecticut, who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Johnson; her parents, Dr. John and Isabelle Goehl Casagrande; and her brothers, Tom Casagrande and Jack Casagrande.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Marrone (Al), Bill Johnson (Eileen), Scott Johnson (Elena), John Johnson and Craig Johnson; her grandchildren, Al Marrone (Leah McIntosh), Jamie Marrone (Chris Gogan-Tilstone), Billy Marrone, Michael Marrone, Ashley Bernath (Ryan), Bill Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Andy Johnson (Serenity), Michael Johnson, Owen Johnson, Alexa Johnson and Ryan Johnson; her great grandchild Lyla Ann Gogan-Tilstone; and her brother Jim Casagrande. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a private interment will be held at the family plot at St. Augustine Cemetery in Seymour with Father Christopher Ford of Our Lady of the Assumption Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Carol's memory may be made to the William H. Johnson Scholarship Fund for Amity High School or the Connecticut.
