LaQuay of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, born in Johnstown, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 6, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman LaQuay and Marguerite LaQuay (Austin); and his siblings, Leon, Harriet and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia LaQuay (Morello); his daughter Deana Doak (Thomas) of Syracuse, NY; his grandchildren, George Lyon, Stephen Lyon (Lisa) and Pamela Lyon; his sister Charlotte Meszler (Raymond) of Spencerport, NY; and his stepchildren, John Pohorence (Bonnie) of Maine and Renee Walker (Greg) of North Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (150 Union City Rd, Naugatuck, CT 06770). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
