He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Pokras and Dorothy Pokras; and his sister Rosalind Levine. He is survived by: his children, Rabbi Gary Pokras (Shauna) and Karen Pokras (Tim Mogford); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Pokras, Eleanor Pokras, Joshua Blau, Sarah Blau and Cole Toczydlowski.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Temple Emanuel (150 Derby Ave, Orange, CT 06477). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Temple Emanuel Cemetery (14 Ladas Pl, Shelton, CT 06484).
