He was predeceased by: his parents, William Likens and Margarite Likens (Cullum). He is survived by: his wife Helen G. Likens (Simmons); his children, Charles W. Likens (Karen) of Milford, OH, Eric M. Likens of New Britain, Bruce Likens of Beacon Falls and Amy Likens Ellis of Naugatuck; and his grandchildren, Amy Likens of Madison, Daniel Ellis (Jennifer) of Fort Bragg, CA, Kayla Phelps (Kyle) of Fairfield, OH, Benjamin Ellis (Kara) and Marissa Ellis Fusco (Luigi) of Cheshire.
