She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Ward and Bertha May Swett (Sheldon); her husband George A. Shaughnessy, Sr.; and her sons, George A. Shaughnessy, Jr. and Joseph Shaughnessy.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Gioia (James) of Torrington; her grandchildren, Brian Shaughnessy of Winsted, Tristan Gioia (Marcia) of Finland and Jessica Bortoloti of Torrington; and her great grandchildren, Jefferson, Aidan, Gabriella and Isabela.
